Frequently Asked Questions

  • Leadership coaching is a rigorous thought partnership. It is not about someone giving you a generic playbook or telling you how to run your team. It is a dedicated space to examine your blind spots, clarify your values, and build the mental skills required to close the gap between how you want to perform as leader and what you actually do day to day.

  • In consulting, you hire an expert to assess your business and give you the answers. In therapy, you often look to the past to heal and achieve baseline emotional health. Coaching is forward-looking and action-oriented. As your coach, I am an expert in the process of human performance and leadership development, but you remain the absolute expert on your life, your career, and your organization. We focus on where you are right now, where you want to go, and the reps required to get there.

  • Coaching is an active, co-created process, and you own the agenda. At the start of every session, you bring the specific topic, challenge, or goal you want to tackle that day. You bring the arena, and I bring the framework. Through powerful questions, we break down your roadblocks, shift your perspective, and end every session with clear, actionable commitments.

  • Absolutely. Confidentiality is the bedrock of this work. What we discuss in our sessions stays entirely between us, adhering strictly to International Coaching Federation (ICF) ethical standards. You need a completely secure space to be candid about your challenges, and that is exactly what leadership coaching provides.

  • Transformative work requires sustained effort. Most 1:1 coaching engagements run for an initial period of three to six months, meeting virtually every other week for 60 minutes. This rhythm provides the dedicated time required to do the work in our coaching sessions, and the necessary space between sessions for you to actually execute and do the reps in the real world.

  • Most 1:1 coaching sessions are conducted virtually via secure video call, allowing me to partner with leaders and athletes regardless of their location. For athletic programs and organizational workshops, I am available to travel for on-site, in-person engagements.

  • Collaborative, thoughtful, honest, and straightforward. I am here to ask you powerful questions that help you explore your goals and challenges and help you commit to the shifts you’re looking for.
